i've only ever pretended to ride. i keep this bike around just to mess around with. it was a $30 police auction deal, i got caught up by the 3-piece cranks...

bmx was more fun when i had to steal my brothers bike.
i've always gravitated more towards mountain biking just for being more outdoors and lost in the woods, as well as the more mechanically complex mechanisms on the bikes.

i was looking at going hydraulic on this bike, but then got caught up on keeping the gyro, just for the added complexity/fun. i looked at hydraulic gyro's, but there's only 1 model, that was 'paused' because they can't make it right

Did you hear them fall when you opened the fridge?

No. I had been in the fridge a couple dozen times. I noticed someone ate the last of my homemade pickles. Then saw them.

I'll save you your own jar. It will be with your McMaster-Carr catalog.

My company does this thing where If I miss I work day due to Army duty, they'll re-reimburse me the difference of what the Army pays for a day, to what I make on my company. It's pretty neat. Never really paid attention, but today I got my reimburse notification.

Now I know that the Army pays its soldiers salary. But to make this, funnier, in a way, I broke it down to the hourly rate based from the time I had to report, to the time I was able to go home.

0600 report to 2100 release = 15 hours of teaching soldiers how to soldier, supervising so that they don't get crushed by a 15-Meter antenna mast, plus other admin tasks, total came out to a whopping $6.45 per hour. Oh plus a coin, and trial-size bottle of maple syrup.

That is over 3 times what I made ($33 a "day") and they took $3 a day off that for "messing and quarters" even if you didn't live on base.

Oh yeah, I haven't taken off State Tax, Federal Tax, Life Insurance, and Social Sec. off that base pay. So it would be even less than $6 after all is said and done.

Yet they ask me why do I not want to re-enlist.
