How fast can one become an Instagram influencer?

Create a car channel, review a bunch of cars and hopefully Toyota takes notice and they provide you with a GR Corolla to "test" now that you have established yourself as an automotive "journalist".

I bet this is still a faster route to at least get to drive one than waiting for one to show up at a dealership that isnt sold immediately.

They knew what they would charge for it before they even built the first one.

Exactly. Is not like there are other manufacturers ready to reveal a brand new hatch. Unless they know something that I don't, thinking Mazda is going to do a line a coke and revive MazdaSpeed.

Honestly I get it. With supply chain disruptions, energy crunches and inflation I don't see the point in Toyota announcing (or setting) MSRP until 2-3 months tops before production starts. However, were we in "normal" times then I'd agree with you.

Ditto for me. I've been assuming the Circuit to be $40-42k.

My dealership only sells at MSRP. I'm sure plenty of others do as well.

With the fog of the unveil euphoria cleared and setting aside all of the purely emotional things that seem to make the car more valuable but really don't, the GRC is a very a hard sell for me up around $40k. Especially after sitting in a top trim Corolla for reference.

I'm at the place now where the only reasons I have for replacing the WRX with a GRC are the hatch (somewhat negated by overall size,) switching an 8 year old daily for a new one and "because the opportunity to get one at MSRP fell into my lap."

I'll have to see once the prices are announced to decide. I'm curious to hear how it drives but let's face it.. there won't be enough superlatives in the dictionary for auto journos to get the point across. I kinda hope they price it like a Golf R and I can forget about it, avoid the hell of acquiring a new Toyota again.

They're out there, big and small. Considering the low numbers for GRC it's all about finding one and being a patient, early bird. Most prospective customers have missed the boat for 2023 unless they get lucky with fall through deals etc.

step 1: create channel.
step 2: create obnoxious persona
step 3: create crazy theories that make little to no sense, and appease 5 year olds imaginations in video's shorter than 10 minutes with crazy sound effects.
step 4: create a lead image with a shocked face and with a wild title
step 5: profit

make sure video content is 25mins of random drivel and filler, and 30 seconds of actual content (at the end) related to video title....and dont forget to pound that like button and subscribe!

This vid sums up the thumbnail followed by the actual content in the video.

Seems like an official announcement by Toyota should be out next week. I believe that is also when the press embargo ends.

Gave a call over to the dealership this week to just "touch base". The salesman I had been in contact with since putting down a deposit left a few months ago, but his team manager that he referred me to seems to be on the level.

I am eager to see what this car will be MSRP and what dealerships will actually be asking. Especially with how I've seen some twins advertised as high as $40k lol.

No doubt they are all already sold so price point is moot.
