I just ordered one of these units on Amazon for $279, I picked up all the adapters as well. I'll share some pictures upon completing the install.

Wow disabling of Google App and Play Services helps a ton. And Maps still works fine.

Only issue with the phone now is the mic , I have put it behind the steering wheel but there still a ton of noise on the other side.

Hey guys, I just wondering, has anyone been able to figure out running netflix? I keep getting error (0013). I purchased the joying JY-TL123 from Amazon. Spent time getting the bluetooth dongle to communicate with torque but finally got it connected. Like most folks have already said this is a great unit, especially after flashing malaysk's rom.

According to the dude at the end of this thread that's a known issue with MTCD units running 5.1.1:

Have you modded the apk to have more accurate trajectory lines yet? If you have, would you mind sharing the png?

Does it get rid of the massive freeze every time the unit starts? I'm about tired of this fucking thing right now.

I dont know. I never had the freezing before so dunno if it helps.

On another note , do not update google maps. The latest update makes it so you cant use offline maps without play services.. Fuk you google. Now i gotta find the older APK and install that.

I've modded the stock lines but I'm just using the png on carjoying's RAV4 blog post at: https://www.carjoying.com/Joying-blog/28.html Visually it isn't as in your face chunky as the stock Malaysk rom reverse image.

But that png doesn't match our twins' cam angle and wheel track (obviously because it was made for a RAV4. lol). Here's what it looks like on the unit.

The red 0.5m line is pretty good distance wise. But the green 2m line is more like 1m on our car. And the yellow track lines are obviously off. I just use it for the red line distance as I reverse mainly using mirrors and head check and only refer to the reverse cam for distance to wall once I'm already straight. I may just go in and remove those track lines and the numbers on the green line.

I dunno what to do with this thing. Fresh install of the ROM and all I have is Spotify and Torque, with USB OBD reader. The thing is basically unusable until I slap the rocket button to clean up bullshit running in the background. Disabled play services. I dunno.

Try Nova launcher, the stock one is pretty heavy. Also disable any stock apps you don't use. A lot of them will still load into the ram, which is why hitting the rocket button works.
