Would 245/40R17 A052 fit on 17' BRZ with OEM struts?
Hi,
I am seeking for advice on Yoko A052 tire fitment. My BRZ is on OEM springs/struts with Verus camber plates/APC camber bolts in front and rear lower adjustable control arms. I know that 235/45/17 A052 would fit without clearance issue. This tire is so wide. I don't know if 245/40R17 would fit without rolling the fenders. No plan to upgrade to coilover for this seaon. 245 is not available here in Canada. I plan to order a set from the State. But I want to find out if it would fit. I really appreciate from someone can confirm the fitment. Thanks. |

Need to know wheel offset.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't fit with the right wheel offset. |

Offsets between +35 to +42 will fit a bone stock car without issue. Thats with a 17x9 wheel.

Yeah, I'ma say +35, and NO camber from bolts, all from camber plates. +42 isn't gonna clear I don't think... I had to run 3mm spacers with my 17x9 +40 wheels to have clearance for 225/40-17 Hoosiers which are 9.6" or 244mm wide. And 245 A052s are a bit wider at 9.9" or 251mm.

+40 should be perfect on a stock car with +35 being able to run camber bolts.

I run 17x9 +35 w 245 40 17 Hankook RS4 on stock struts and springs with maxed camber bolt and maxed crash bolt in lower hole and it does not rub on struts without spacers. I run 3mm spacer though for wider track and safety as it can get closer than I want under track load as lower pressures.
Enjoy ! |

OP has camber bolts which incline the hub towards the strut.

Thank you all for your inputs.
I will install camber plates this season. It will give me -3 degrees from it. Another ~0.6 will be from the bolts. I hope that it would good enough clearance for any rubbing. For your reference, a friend of mine ran RS4 (245/40R17) on 17x9+35 rim on his FRS. It was fine. He has to add a 3mm spacer in front to clear the A052 235/45R17 on the same wheels. That made me worry about rubbing going to A052 245. Last edited by Samba; 01-15-2021 at 01:22 PM. |

It'll depend on your chosen wheel.
You're gonna need a very low offset, which I don't recommend. |

I prefer going against what you recommend than slashing a tire and potentially harming myself and others.
