Vortex is awesome. Their customer service and warranty are the best. I had an issue with a Viper PST and they replaced it, not fixed it.

Didn’t say it was the best feature. For me being a hunter it is quite nice feature being out In the elements and the risk of falling while hiking down the side of a hill in the dark at 4am.

Stability. The only reason lighter is a thing is because toting around a 25lb rifle everywhere isn't practical. Hence, tradeoffs are made.
