Relocating MAF
Im working on a custom build currently the set up has the mass air flow sensor sitting pre-turbo and with the new set up I will need to relocate the sensor to sit post-turbo. My question is can I continue to run on the current tune even though the MAF is now in a different location. Or will I need a new tune before going full throttle again.

will be similar but still requires a maf scaling
also, with a turbo you shouldp probably take advance of hybrid speed density and not use maf at all during full throttle |

you certanly want your tuner to tune it again after you change the maf from Draw through to Blow through
or at least ask him, he did the tune |

if he stays out of boost and wot he shoulfn t have any problem
anyway in open loop turbo benefits so much from speed density and then maf position is irrelevant best way would be have your tuner ntroduce and scale speed density while your maf is in old position pre charger and then switch position |

That what I was saying, I will say "If I drive it easy" and then I'm wide open, full boost and then cabin fills up with blow by smoke. Last edited by solidsnake11; 06-27-2020 at 11:52 AM. |

just be aware that the MAF sensor is also the intake air temp sensor, so chaging it from pre to post turbo will not only likely chage its maf scaling but also the measured intake air temps will be vastly different pre to post turbo
