Raising the rear will reduce the amount of toe-in and negative camber. With the stock control links there is only adjustment for toe, no camber adjustment.

And I assume its like the front, it's preferable to have toe out at the back right?

No. At most 0 toe. If you had toe out in the rear at static ride height your car will become very unstable at speed. I personally like a little bit of toe-in, others may prefer 0 toe.

IMO the toe change is negligible, very small in the area of suspension travel where static ride heights are set, you likely have some toe in from the last alignment so it toeing out a mm or two will be unnoticeable.

Tldr just do it.

Hi I will be installing Bilstein B8 struts and shocks with RCE Yellow springs and Raceseng Cascam front camber plates on my car. My goal is increased handling/grip for autocross and track days, but the car is also my daily driver at the moment and will be used on some fairly bumpy streets.

I know that handling will be improved with a spherical ball joint rear shock top, however I also don't want to reduce the bump travel.

So my question is will the 1" Raceseng rear shock tops with the 90mm spring perch work with this setup? I want to maintain a decent amount of bump travel, but since the B8's have a reduced extended length will they work properly with recessed mounts?

Imho KW based RCE's Tarmac 0/2 should provide more travel, no? Or you already bought those bilsteins and all that's left - their installation?

I would never toe out the front or the rear.

Why not? At the front, it improves turn in and steering response but it can be a nervous ride for the novice driver.

Yeah, I already bought the Bilsteins. I looked into the Tarmacs and may eventually upgrade to the 2's but for now I went with the Bilsteins to keep the cost down since I already had the RCE yellows.

I really just want to know if the Raceseng 1" rear mounts will make a difference in ride quality with the B8s and yellows since I want to get a solid rear shock top to improve handling.

Never. Maybe it might work for a cone dodger, but on a real track with a fast car? Never.

I would not use the lowering rear mounts with fixed perch struts like Bilstein B8, only coil overs.

Maybe you guys can answer this.
I made a thread for it, but no response.

For those of you who have LCA's like the SPL's or Stance's, how are the spherical bushings holding up?
How often do you track your car?

I need LCA's to get the suspension back in spec for daily driving, but will also be auto-xing/drifting a few times a year.

What is the expected lifetime of these?
No snow/road slat where I live, and no dirt roads.

Why are you making stuff up?

The Miata I was driving last month at Raceway Park of the Midlands had toe out in front, 0 toe in the rear.

So I'm looking to upgrade the springs on my SACHS coilovers. Current rates are 38N/mm in the front and a progressive rear rate of 20-45 N/mm.

I want to go to something stiffer, since those are pretty soft rates, and definitely switch the rears to linear.

Relevant info for the car: Daily driven with around 10-15 track days and as many autox events as I can possibly run in a season.

Current modifications (apart from the SACHS coilovers): No real power mods (only thing apart from suspension is a muffler delete and drop-in filter), 17x8 wheels with 225/45 ZII Star Specs, and original Whiteline LCAs. I'm trying to sort out my camber plate situation, but once it's finally figured out I plan to run F-2.5 and R-2 to start with.

Seems like, based on what I've seen RCE and CSG suggest/run, the cars tend to do quite well with 400-450 lbs/in squared or F 400 lbs/in R 450 lbs/in.

Given the info above I'm leaning toward Hyperco 450lbs/in springs all around, but would certainly appreciate any information/input from those with greater knowledge and experience on these matters than myself. haha
