Power Bastards 250a alternator??

looking to get some feedback from someone who has one

I have full OEM Audio + system, aftermarket headunit, aftermarket cabin/head/tail lights, and some various engine/fuel system mods that are 12v. I notice that I get a noticable dimming when turning on ac/fog lights and even some drops in idle rpm when releasing clutch.

I got a new battery with much higher rating and that has helped some but interested if this would be a better permanent solution.

Thanks in advance

i would consider the 'big 3' before a bigger alternator...

i'm running a 950w amped system and a dome light unlike anything else. i don't have any dimming issues, but only upgraded the battery ground.

I did the alternator cable with 0 gauge a few years back but havent done the other two. Im gonna try that then report back if it makes a difference.

I know a lot of people run these power bastard alternators on WRX/STI's so im really surprised to see no one using them on the 86

no sense in upgrading the alternator power cable, while leaving the ground return path undersized.

it's like running a marathon with 1 oversized shoe, and one undersized shoe...
