Made my first baguette. Had to scorch using a kitchen knife, and also should get a spray bottle for the initial water spray.

Yes I did take a slice of it before the picture.

That pic is about 1948. Thanks. My dad was a good man. I wish I could be more like he was. Everyone loved my dad. College math professor for 38 years.

If you wish you could be more like he was, you can.

You just have to stop actively trying to "be more like he was"

Just be. Just be yourself.

Once you do, it'll happen on it's own. And people will love what they see.

Try scoring them more at like 20°, not 90°.

OK so this is freakish!
I posted a random picture of a deuce and a half in one of my model forum.
When I looked closer I am about 95% sure that the dude standing behind the truck is actually ME.

Did you ever have to deal with the 3/4 ton Dodge military trucks of that era?

The truck plate number is in the right range, the era is bang on and when I first joined one of my main jobs was driving Army Cadets to various bases for weekend training. This picture came from an Army Cadet "remember those days" site.
The way the guy is standing, the little hair that can be seen and all the other details sure do look like me. Glad you see it too!
All the evidence adds up.

Yes. We had an old ambulance, a radio van and a pickup. Although they were being phased out of service and we didn't operate them much I did drive the ambulance and van a couple of times. The pickup was in near new condition but was taken apart to the last bolt by the vehicle techs for training. I was tasked with "disposing" of the remains. I got permission to give it to my dad's buddy as it was struck off service. We piled all the parts in a back of a couple of deuces took them to his farm and dumped them in a field. Over about 5 years he put the whole thing back together again, got the VIN plate of a rotted out one and had it back on the road. Don't know what ever happened to it but bet it is still around.

I figured. I am rebuilding a couple spring packs for a 41' right now. Just came up to my desk to measure the bushings.

Anyone have tips on how to re-sync IR devices?

I have one of those Japanese wall AC units and it's controlled with an IR remote. The problem is it's easy for their saved temperatures to deviate. So like the remote says it's set for 64 but the heater might be off, like warming the room to 68. The easy "accident" is to adjust the temp on the remote but not have it pointing right to the AC unit, so the AC unit never gets the change.
