Focal FPP 4100

Now, one question is, would I need to use the crossovers that come with the KRX2's or just use the crossovers built in on the amp?
To make things simple for you, you will use the crossovers that come with the speakers. You will still need to set the HP and LP on your amp to the right setting.

I wont recommend messing with the crossovers on the focals. They are a touch tricky to set up.. Its best to leave them on normal settings and make your amp do the work. Also see if you can get some sound dampening as well and do your doors while you have them panels out. I didnt at the time and I regret it, come winter car will be parked and then ill dampen the crap out of it.

Focal K2 Power 165 KRX3 Question

Definitely sound dampen your doors and trunk. It Will make a huge difference and will get rid of a lot of rattles. There are many tutorials on here. If you would like to save money stay away from Dynamat and find alternatives that are just as food ex. Raamatt, Fatmat.

I understand you want SQ so that is a must. But you also said you are a noob when it comes to this. Why are you looking at $1000 set of speakers for your front stage. You can get some great speakers for under that. I was looking at JL Audio C5's and Hertz. I ended up getting Hertz HSK 165 over the JL's because I thought they sounded better. They only ran me $569 and they are great speakers, sound great and have great SQ. they're are many great speakers out there. If you are dead set on Focal why not go a step down or to in there models to save you some cash? If money isn't an issue, well then why not get whatever your heart desires.

Well, I can pick up a set of Focal K2 Power 165KRX2's for 850$ shipped on eBay, only 300$ difference compared to the Hertz HSK 165, for what I would presume fair amount of difference in quality, I may be wrong though.

Raamatt and fatmat are of equal quality as Dynamat?

Be careful when buying from eBay. I believe Focal is like Hertz and JL. They don't authorize many if any online retailers to sell there products. So online company's are able to sell them for cheap but remove the serial numbers from the products so it can't be traced back to them and they lose there license. So make sure you do your research on who the seller is on eBay.
