Don't be tempted to add features that control rpm with throttle such as Flat Foot Shifting, Launch Control and a Soft Limiter. These features rapidly open and close the throttle plate to maintain or control rpm - while your ESC is at full rpm making full boost. Thanks for the heads up! But I'm not a fan of those features anyway. In my opinion: if you can't do it yourself don't get it.

I agree...I'm a heal-n-toe shifter since 1979...but auto-blip flat out rocks.

Been practicing heal/toe. Not doing so hot... Any suggestions?

Yeah, think of it more as heal and SMALL toe(s). In reality it's the top right side of your foot that you want on the throttle. Your foot should be tilted about 30 degrees to the right from vertical. Once you get the right coverage, the "feel" that you'll have to learn is how to blip the throttle without adding pressure to the brake pedal.

The other technique that I use quite a bit is clutchless shifting. Once you get the feel for it, it's as easy to down shift as up shift. As I think about it...I probably use this technique more then heal-n-toe.

FWIW, I heel-toe with my foot rotated counterclockwise with the heel blipping the throttle and the toes on the brake. This is because it is easier to finely regulate brake pedal force with the toes since you actuate with ankle muscle, not quadriceps. It's definitely more awkward at first but better in the long run. FWIW, I used to do it the way you describe when I first started heel-toe'ing 20 years ago. It seems easier to learn at first but the other way is better for sure.
