Not in the torque dip it isn't. I am on my third day trying to merge onto the highway. Out of food and water. Not sure I will make it. Goodbye everybody.

Does a combination onramp and exit only lane constitute a zipper merge?

Can I stay in the open exit only lane until the last minute when the main road is congested before coming to a complete stop while trying to cut in to the main road, effectively blocking the exit for those behind me?

No no no no
On an on ramp you stop at the very beginning of the ramp and sit there until there is a huge opening and then start to accelerate to merge. You should never ever just maintain speed or accelerate to the speed of traffic and then just slip in.

Well, maybe YOU can accelerate in your fancy 2017+ 205HP car, but for us lowly 2013 owners that is just not an option. I have to drive miles out of my way to find onramps that are downhill.

Oh sorry. I didn’t realize there were any 2013s that still were running.

Well duh. Every single original engine was destroyed by the valve recall since the Toyota techs couldn't figure out why the cylinders had fallen over on their sides.

The plastic intake manifold was a bottleneck. The aluminum manifold is much better.
