Best header?

This question has been asking a billion times and every thread that I've read (which were a lot) had their own preference. My problem is, I don't wana run without cats. This might be a nooby thing to say but from what I can tell, the over pipe has a cat and the headers have cats (is that true?). Does the mid pipe have a cat? I'd like to have a single cat available so the car doesn't smell too much and cause me to get a ticket. I used to run catless on my old car and a cop threatened to impound my car.

Now on to the main question as I really need your help on this. What's the best header that I can run (hoping I can run catless on just the headers and not make it smell... if anyone has experiences with no cat on the overripe, I'd love to hear your opinion). I'd also love to maximize horsepower but I'm more concerned about the car smelling and getting me in trouble over hp.

Also, how's openflash headers? I heard first gens cracked a lot.

I'm currently in the market of buying an open flash tablet. I'd like a header that can work best with the tablet.

Ps, I prefer it to be UEL because from what I can tell, that's the best setup for the torque dip elimination

Sorry to make this post and I appreciate everyone who spent the time to read my post

Thank you

Thanks for your input! I forgot to mention however that I'd like a uel instead of an el, I apologize about that but thanks again eh!

Just get the Ace, then take advantage of the hella cheap dyno/ecutek combo tune you can get, since you'll never find an OFT for 400 CAD

I'm no longer looking for one for 400, just looking to see what the best deal I can get for one. Preferably 550.

Stock header has a cat, as does the stock front pipe. The over pipe, which connects the two, does not.

Have a read of the "basic bolt on Mods guide" link below

if your definitely after UEL header

The oft (flash device and tunes) plus Openflash header package is probably hard to beat at about 1100 USD

but you could go a Gruppe s uel header and either the oft or ecutek tune if you have a local ecutek tuner

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81839

also check out Visconti tuning deal at the moment hes got ecutek cable kit plus licience plus tune for $400 USD even if you don't use tune its still a good deal.

If you've ever taken the stock one out without lifting the engine, you never want to put the stock one back on again.

Thanks for your post! Yea I definitely want a uel and an oft because I'd like to be able to eventually learn on how to tune my own car (1 step at a time) and being able to revert back before servicing the car.. and launch control is life lol!!.

Which one is preferable? Ofh or gruppie? Do any of the two give more hp?

Their would be very little in it

the oft tune was developed on oft header though.

the ofh that cracked was because some low life wasaparantly retrieving the quality control rejected headers from the bin or similar and reselling the rejects
