#1 For the love of god don't f**k around with solvents in your shed or garage. All round bad idea.

#2 the real question is AM I being too anal? A: yes, please put the Xylene down and step away.

#3 Shell 91 v-power runs fine. Bonus: prevents crickets.

#4 Is your engine knocking? If answer is No , please refer to #1, 2 and 3

...and now to muddy the water (and you can collectively yell at me, DON'T DO IT, WHAT A MAROON)...what do you think is the difference (in burning/ignition at the plug) between 87 E10 vs. 87 non-E ? one would think the non-ethanol is "better", eh, no, yes?...so running non-E 87 might not ping vs. E-10 87 cricket juice.
How stupid am i sounding? LOL

Very stupid, the octane rating is what determines its knock. Engine wise the ecu will drop your IAMs below 1.0 at i.e. retarding your timing regardless. Everyone should follow there manual which states 93 if 93 is unavailable you use 91.
