Hey, sorry for asking you so late down the road. But how do you like this set up with the stock clutch? I was talking to my installer about my goals and I saw this post. This is exactly the way I want my build.

That must be a nice tune for it to survive that

Best way to find out the limits of components is to push them to their limits

10psi
Other Mods: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140753
Notes: This was my first dyno run on the kit with a FBM tune. Have since switched to an HRI tune, making 12psi but running less timing. Have yet to have it re-dyno'd

What percentage did you guys use for drivetrain loss? Or was this on a engine dyno?

Their picture says the gear the car is in. Based on the numbers their drivetrain loss is really low:

Est hp: 316
Whp: 282

316 * LossPercent = 282

LossPercent = 282/316 = .89

So they’re estimating 11% drive train loss

Based on what I’ve seen our numbers are closer to 20-25%.

375 * .75 = 281.25 seems more likely to me. But this is dynojet so we aren’t including that factor that they generally read about 10% higher than a mustang dyno

Sorry for the late reply. I’m not sure what the percentage is. It’s typically 20% on most RWD cars. I’m probably around 18% with some lightened drivetrain parts.

The real world isn't so clean. Plenty of twins making 300+ with lots of miles on them. Plenty of twins with blown engines making less. So what's the limit?

Whatever your willing to pay for or whatever risk you are willing to take. For most its around the 280-320whp mark.

That’s what I was asking them...about their car.
