That tends to be a rule of most platforms when power is more than doubled and reliability is desired.

From what I've read, their latest standing on it was that the cost to benefit ratio for the lackluster and unreliable results they've found was too poor to continue supporting. I'm sure the PAR gearset will continue to be the best option
