Toyota is showing photos of the Tundra TRD Pro undercarriage with the new Fox shock and rear coil spring suspension. Not impressed with the Falken Wildpeak OEM tires that aren't up to TRD spec but the rest looks interesting and should be a big upgrade.

This beast is gonna be officially revealed on September 19.

with the slow trickle of pics and the premature leak awhile back....i think they could have done this reveal earlier.....

they're just following trends for subscription services, and a million apps that connect you to the internet to do stuff.

but remote start via subscription is a bit ridiculous.

I could see a subscription for remote start from your phone (cellular service and all that) but from your key fob! Yea, that's a bit much Toyota.

I just installed remote start in MomHawk's '05 Mustang (along with door unlock, trunk pop, etc) that uses BT on her phone. Cost $150 all in, no subscription. (She has a habit of locking her keys in her car every year or so).

If I really wanted remote start (which I have no real use for) I'd go that way before paying a subscription.

They are rolling this back to cars from 2018. So people that have had the service for free for 3+ years will loose it if they don't pay!

That's a lot of complexity added for not a lot of gain, and still doesn't beat the Silverado Diesel (EPA 23/27/33 MPG)

Saw it in the flesh yesterday at a dealer. Not bad looking at all in a dark blue color, supercab, SR5 trim. No window sticker but I checked, 56 grand on the lot.
Some of these new tundras are having waste gate failures. Not a big thing in a truck under warranty as the entire turbo has to be replaced. But. And it's a big but. To get at the turbos, it's a cab off frame job.
Will everything get hooked up right again? How much will that kind of service cost out of warranty? Fine for the guys who trade before the warranty. As someone who lived in fear of having to do the starter on my old tundra, not heading down that road.
When I look under a hood now, I think how hard is some of this stuff to get at.

One of the reasons why I'm OK with just getting last gen's V8. But I'm going to drive my Taco down to hell first before even considering lol.
