the twins are shit NA.
if you are saying you don't need more power you are delusional (i would take all the tq down low you are wiling to donate to me). the engines are also kinda on the shit side (THANKS SUBARU!) anywho. as per the forums: safe stock power is about 250-300 to the wheels. you might still blow up cuz Subaru engine. if the car is new, you can go edelbrock route. they give a warranty. what the old farts are trying to say is that this car is super fun to drive in corners and if you are to get 300-400 whp, then you are throwing all that out of the window. take it to a windy track to see how much you are enjoying it in in its NA form. you might settle on "smaller" updates, such as a tune, headers, different final drive (will make it feel much snappier and fun to drive w.o the MAH BOOST!1!). with all of that said, its still super fun to drive. 10/10, would do again |

If you want more power another 50 or so at the wheels (around 220 or so) is plenty to kick the ass of most cars in your little street race fantasies. To go 300+ at the wheels is just moronic for a street driven DD in most areas.

For turbo a lot of solid kits out there full blown, greddy, avo, etc... most should hit 350whp no problem on E85 at around 14psi. just read the threads for each kit to decide which you prefer. but even 300whp is pushing the limits of what this engine can handle with out a built block for a reliable DD. Can it but done, sure. Do some people get lucky and run 350+ for years no problem, sure. but generally 300whp is pushing the limit. I think 300whp with a good 100lbs weight reduction, and some solid tires would satisfy most peoples straight line speed needs, burn up most cars on the street and not ruin daily drive-ability, handling, feel etc.. |
