Hello,

I am looking in to getting Bilstein B16 coilovers for my FRS. Will I need anything other than CasCam plates and LCAs for camber adjustment? My last set up I just had Whiteline front camber bolts and rear camber kit, but I want more of a track set up this time around.

thanks

Has anyone found spring rates for the OEM 2017 suspension?

Google hasn't been helpful.

Only estimates of 15% higher front, 10% lower rear.

Rear bar is now 15 mm. Front bar unchanged.

Sounds like they made them equal at around 3kg/mm

I have the rear springs on my 2013. Not a perfect match for the original fronts but much better than the originals.

I have the Whiteline 20 mm front bar, stock 14 mm rear bar and Bilstein B6 shocks all round.

Ride is very civilized, comfortable even, and the chassis is very well balanced and easier to drive fast than with the original suspension settings. I also fit the MCA traction brackets which I can also highly recommend.

I'm going a very similar route, just stiffer springs and smaller bar up front. I've got OEM camber bolt up front. Going to fit the 2017 shocks and springs front and back, pair with a 19mm/16mm Perrin sway bar set and see how that drives. I did lots of testing of those spring rates (3kg/mm) and different sway bar settings in Forza and I'm hoping that the simulation calculations are as good as turn10 claims they are, because that combination was very stable and much more predictable than stock. Then I'll add the MCA brackets and the Billies later on.

Based on my experience with the changes I have made to my car you will be very pleased with the results of your planned changes. I predict that if you add the 2017 Sachs shocks front and rear you will not need the Bilsteins. In the OEM market Sachs and Bilstein are interchangeable in product performance and quality.

Your car will feel more tied down than mine, a bit sharper in the corners, but still with all the ride and rear axle grip improvements the softer rear springs deliver.

I don't think my new shocks are Sachs, they're from a regular 2017, not a PP version. I thought only the PP got Sachs.

That and I really want monotubes on this car

Would the Eibach pro-kit or sportlines be a good pair for the Sachs dampers? I purchased a 17 brz limited PP and wanted to get rid a little bit of the wheel gap

IMO Sportline springs lower the car too much.

Which lowering spring would be the recommended one to pair with the Sachs dampers?

The RCE Yellows have/are been installed by several members with the 2017 PP. I believe RCE recommends them for the stock Sachs shocks.

Does anyone have any real world feedback on the Blitz ZZ-R Spec DSC? They come with electronic damping adjustment. Spring rates look weird to me being 6F 4R.

Front - 6.0 kg/mm, adjustable pillowball upper mount
Rear - 4.0 kg/mm, solid rubber upper mount
32-way single adjustment damper
Includes remote adjustment via in-cabin electronic control
DSC electronic control can be integrated with Blitz Touch-B.R.A.I.N. for datalogging and analysis
Improves road feel and handling
Comfortable street ride
1-year transferrable warranty from date of purchase

Based on threads here and assessment of my needs, I have decided on the Eibach Pro-Kit.

Why do we care? You ask.

Because i have made two attempts to buy them from two different ebay sellers. Both purchases were allowed to complete only to be canceled within 24 hours. The first said they had just sold out. The second said that Eibach had recalled them and he is expecting the "redone" replacement springs in a couple weeks.

Has anyone else heard about the recall? I googled but found nothing.

edit: Also - sorry for reviving an old post.
