You made the right choice. S2000 is an amazing car.

Would have gotten an S2K w/o question if I had a garage.
Shit gets stolen off them too much. Too many tops slashed, seats stolen, lights stolen, wheels stolen, steering wheels stolen, body panels fucked up etc... Fuck people... These fucks manage to ruin the ownership experience of what is otherwise a perfect car. Last edited by vobla6.0; 04-05-2015 at 04:44 PM. |

S2k is just a prefect car as it come. Just make sure u have another car to drive around and put s2k for leisure only. 👍 Brz is a tuner/modder car, God u can think of something to upgrade everyday...

I had a hard time moving a S2000 or any car for that matter with light clutches. I couldn't feel the engagement point period.

Really? That's the exact opposite for most people - heavy ass clutches are painful to deal with for most part since it's so easy to overshoot the grab point and then stall.

Really? I found them more or less the same except the engagement point was awkwardly high. I stalled the BRZ when backing it up, S2k not even once though I had some timing issues shifting into 2nd. I think I was too quick on clutch release due to a habit with my existing DD.

The BRZ I test drove had a stiffer pedal in my opinion but then again, it had 6 miles on the odometer (dealer let me 'test drive' it).

You'll notice it takes more pressure in the "middle" of the clutch, to move it, than near the bottom or top as well. For a newer driver with a heavy pressure plate, the observation is that it takes a "ton" of force to press the pedal down, but once its down, it's easy to hold down. The clutch pedal is non-linear, unlike a traditional coil spring; they use diaphragm springs. |
