Yup, since then I've tidied up the surrounds a bit. Prob get some sandpaper and finish it nicely when I get my oil cooler installed, but this will do for now. Also added some stainless steel mesh to the front. Hardly any chance of getting any water in the car now.

Do you think the bricks will impede flow much?

About the three holes on top - there's a small drainage hole at the bottom of the air filter housing, I doubt one needs those in the Duct except maybe in monsoon countries.

Sent a bunch of these out yesterday as it's the first batch in the USA. We got 10 more next month coming as well. Didn't get a chance to do an install since they were all spoken for but we did get some photos.

Anyone with the Vortech SC running this snorkel? Any improvement in performance and sound compared to the stock snorkel?

I am not convinced this makes any real world power. I always thought that a long intake pipe allows the air to gain velocity towards the throttle body. Why not just delete the resonators and baffle on the stock intake pipe and see if it makes a difference?

skeptical about dyno power but what about lower intake temps on a tracked car, supercharger or not?

my favorite thing on the HKS duct are the 3 air holes on the top part.

Cause if there is THAT much water at the front of the car, those 3 holes are gonna save your engine. At that point, our car would be about 70% submerged lol.

I'd be more worried about having air holes for me, than the engine.

Did someone noticed a higher fuel consumption with the HKS Intake Duct? (orin combination with HKS or any other airfilter) ?

Probably yes. I installed the duct and HKS oil cooler recently. Also a ChargeSpeed bumper with huge vents which changes also the intake sound substantially (the HKS duct in the stock bumper doesn't "sing" that loud). After all these upgrades the computer shows 1-1.5 l/100km more than before. However, I also changed oil when installing the oil cooler, so can't definitely say that it's the intake duct only which caused this increase.
