Magnitude 8.9 - NEAR THE EAST COAST OF HONSHU, JAPAN

Just wow.... 8.9 Magnitude is really big

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...11/usc0001xgp/

I don't have close relative around where it was hit... but extended family lives in Tokyo & Sendai. Gonna check up w them if they're okay

All the Japanese member here, who have family member lives in Honshu, should check up on their safety

Here's a news from my extended family (which I didn't know lol).

My aunt told me, one of my cousin (4th or 5th) I guess live in Sendai & she got several cuts from broken glasses, but no major wounds (from info from aunt, that cousin is really clumsy lol). Other than that, all my close family wasn't near honshu. My uncles usually go to Tokyo for business, but all of them have catch some cold and laying of the bed.

Seriously, prayer goes out to Honshu ppl

There's a bunch of videos on youtube on first person eye witnesses.

I'm so disappointed in human beings. The level of stupidity is ASTRONOMICAL. Read some of the comments on youtube. Terrible people.

Here's a few videos.

In a home.

In an office building

Supermarket.

most of ppl in panic mode, don't know what to do. It's part of human nature. Human only can react to the things their body are trained over and over. It's same concept w self-defense. Ppl many read or watch those self-defense stuff, but unless they physically do it over and over to put it into the body, it's a waste time.

well my family is mostly in tokyo but they're safe! just very chaotic as all the trains and subways are shut down, power and cell phone reception is intermittent. looks like the northeast of the country is devastated, however.
