This is a common misconception. Exchange rates are the difference in the in the dollar as compared to each other and only apply if you are using that dollar for the purchase. An $80 product in Canada dollars is $80 in Canada. Besides you have it backwards even if exchange did apply since we pay an extra 20% not get a discount. To get a discount the Canadian dollar would have to be worth $1.20 against the US.

Most of our Amazon deliveries just come through the regular mail. In that case the worst that you can expect is the carrier that just walked through knee deep snow in the front yard since it was the shortest distance from the house next door will now refuse to go up the three steps to my mailbox because there were 5 snowflakes and 1/2 a cup of water spread across the whole porch.

They are 79 for the 16gb. I'm talking about the 32gb

Also, update, Amazon told me that they are unable to accomodate my request, despite the fact that they'd have a used product coming back that they could only resell at a loss, they're paying to ship the new tablet out, and paying to ship the old tablet back.

Worth the return process in any case.

Ahhh I see. I don't need 32gb on a tablet for anything anyway so the extra savings is worth it to me.

If you were to do the conversion from the $80 USD to CAD, our cost in CAD would be $96. I was remarking on the fact that someone in CA is spending 20% less 'buying power' to purchase the same item. If Amazon were to convert that $80 CAD to USD, they would only be receiving $64 USD.

I'm still beyond happy with mine. I've noticed some weird quirks on it, but I have it a bit more... Customized than what Amazon would like. Fairly certain the quirks can be directly attributed to what I've done, but ultimately, there isn't a big loss in functionality and it continues to be a great device to read and browse on.

Quite happy.

There's a sale on both, so in US it's 60, in Canada it's 80
