You really thought the car would be the same for 10 years?

I knew this was coming. I actually wasn't expecting it to be this soon. I was thinking maybe 2015 they do all this or when sales take a slight drop

Not usually if Subaru STI and WRX Limited HIDs are any indication. Those and these headlights (and BRZ) are good quality, crash-tested, and have multi-purpose lights. Looks are just a bonus. Once you start added adjustable HIDs, it gets expensive. I blame the leveling motor. haha

Agreed. I think some people may be influenced by the internal desire to have the best and newest. The fact of the matter is that innovation in redesign, upgraded features are all part of a natural evolution.

It's funny when I read that people get upset about the 86 being improved or even given options. An example is that four door option that they're exploring. There are a few that are all up in arms over it in anger and bitterness. I see more options as beneficial to the consumer. It gives us the power of choice. To be angry for someone giving you choices is fairly ridiculous.

I think this will happen to us all over the next year or so as new and improved models come out for both brands. Just be happy with what you got, when you got. Like buying a new computer, just do it and don't look back.

Meh, I'm happy with how my car sits currently. Maybe a better head unit with nav and push start would be cool but nothing that would make me reconsider my purchase.

Finally justification on buying the fully spec'ed BRZ. I already have everything listed, and went for the Limited BRZ because that is the same Limited BRZ they have overseas.

I guess us L-BRZ guys can hold out for another 6 months without buyers remorse.

Good head you have there. I definitely don't have buyer's remorse since now I actually like the way my BRZ looks more than the GT-86. It's grown on me. Initially, however, I would have LOVED a choice between a "GT-86" Limited and a BRZ Limited. It would have been a much better case study in brand loyalty overall, but personally I would've jumped shipped from Subaru (after being 5 vehicles deep) and tried Toyota full-on. As it is now, I take my BRZ to the Toyota dealership anyways because of the FR-S association. The Toyota dealership is an easy walk from my job (about 10 minutes), is much newer and nicer, and the management is much, much more organized. Plus prices tend to be cheaper for FR-S parts. I would also prefer Toyota warranty processing over Subaru.

ANYWAYS, all of that to say this:

Good things come to those who wait...
