Will the dealership "ECU Flash" be reset to factory after disconnecting battery?

Hey guys. I'm having some "idle" issues which after reading the forums looks like it needs to have the "ECU recall flash" done at the dealer. Now my car battery was disconnected for a couple days while they were working on my frs. Question is, will the Recall ECU flash that they did a year ago be need to be reflashed back at the dealer?

It's the firmware that is updated. Item It'll still be there.

Sure is, to alter the ECU software they'd have to reflash it again to some other version.

To flash a new rom\tune\update to your ecu requires a special tool or flashing device.
Once flashed the rom\tune\update is permanent till reflashed with tool again.

removing the battery will reset the ecu learned parameters and CEL codes only, you car may run a littyle "off" for the first few miles and throttle may be a bit unresponsive , as ecu learns but nothing else.

read below for more info.
