Them being connected by the long plate, bent specifically at the edges to create a stiffer overall mount, is the key. They react together more closely now through that steel bar plane. All things equal for bushes and mount positions, it is definitely stiffened over OEM.

Nice commentary, keep up the good work. And yeah, don't swap out your subframe. I'll take the bonk on that advice considering parts move labor costs.

The new kind of support will free the movement of the bar a little more (but not that much, just the play allowed by subframe bushes), so the effect will be similar to a softer swaybar.
In facts, the GR86 that is more a drift car, retains the old setup.
To be verified, the opposite position of the bar, in my opinion, using the same links, will put the bar less parallel to the ground.
New BRZ bracket is bolted onto the subframe. Only the inner shims of the bushes are contacted with the new BRZ bracket.
GR86 brackets which welded at the subframe move freely within the play allowed by the subframe bushes, but the BRZ bracket is secured with the chassis.
When the LCA of GR86 moves up, the bracket also moves slightly and the position difference between the LCA and the sway bar reduced.
When the LCA of BRZ moved up, the bracket position is not changed so the sway bar can do its role fully.

You can find the old subframe movement with its sway bar bracket in the below video.

Small update:

Rear sway bar had much more preload than I had originally thought. In the first picture it’s clear why things wouldn’t line up nicely with the stock endlinks. I bought whiteline KLC182 with the intention of stacking both spacers on the same side of the link. Turns out even this wasn’t enough but still fits much better than before.

The 2022 brz rear sway bar has a different part number than the 13-21 cars while still being 14mm like the 13-16 cars. I wonder if there is a slight bar shape change at play here but I am doubting it.

I also installed a new mount for my rear diffuser as the original Verus bracket wasn’t fitting well after this whole modification. Plus it’s nice to have that sway bar bushing sitting flush with its bracket for the first time in 6 years.

These are indeed Professional Awesome splitter rods that I ordered directly from them. The lower half of this assembly is a Verus clevis/rod end/rod end extension clamped down by the Professional Awesome rod connector.

I find this setup kinda busy so I'm talking with some companies about ordering some new shortened splitter rods. Most likely will end up with FS Performance rods. The needed total height is 6" from clevis to clevis.

Cool setup. I was looking at doing something similar. I imagine you need at least one mounting point to locate the diffuser and keep it from moving on the clevis.
