I drove a crappy old '00 v6 Camaro and never in my 3 years of driving to high school did I have so much as even a door ding. That's some bad luck you have there... Hopefully it's on camera. Will it buff out?

I really hope it's on camera too. I cleaned the area as soon as I got home, hoping that it was just paint from the other car (took pics before I started). The scratch went through the paint down to the primer and metal. It's also a little dented along the scratch, so some work and re-painting will definitely have to be done.

buhhhhhh as cool as it may seem to have a nice car in high school, its just not worth it. even if someone doesnt hit you because they cant drive for shit, someone will likely vandalize your car just because...theyre in high school. I think College parking lots are much better, because most the degenerates will be filtered out by then.

I just talked to everyone from my school over summer so on one would have anything against me to do something like that. So far so good.
Good luck!

This is why you need to get a dash camera with a motion sense feature

You should check out high school lots here. M3 are like civics and having anything less than a AMG C63 means you aren't well off. We got 458, Lambos, GTRs and Astons parked at high schools like its a joke. Damn you foreign money!

I am finishing my last semester of my masters and my gf cannot figure out why I drive my beater pickup to school when I have the head turning FRS sitting in the garage. This is exactly my fear.

I really sorry to hear bout this man. I hope you get it resolved soon.

Dad bought the car knowing it was going into a high school parking lot, dad shouldn't have a problem filing the claim. Dad should also not worry about the possibility of an increased rate. If dad fails to do any of the above, it is because dad failed before the incident ever occurred.

I can see into the future, you're car will be fine...until the next kid parks next to you of course.

All kidding aside(even though I wasn't), you might as well not even bother getting it fixed now as there is certainly going to be additional dings throughout the year. Plan on next summer to be the fixing time or plan on doing it several times until then. Get it buffed out for a temp fix.

Or did you mean that thing on the door?
