Today I drove....

My coworkers 2012 Boss 302 Mustang. Loved the amount of torque it had, beyond breaking the law in third gear

The other subtle things that I REALLY liked was the weight of the clutch. The clutch felt very sporty in comparison to ours, it really makes me want to consider removing my return spring on our clutch pedal system.

Next best thing was the throttle response, just barely touch the throttle and the car will quickly respond! I feel like in our car there is a bit of slop (1-3%) in the gas pedal (drive by wire). I'm not sure if the 302 is drive by wire, I assume it is since its so new.

Cool story bro.

Avo throttle controller will help fix the lag you get in the pedal.

Oh the irony of all the R&D and electronic trickery to deliver throttle by wire then having to spend $200 to undo all that crap just to get back to the solid connection of a $20 throttle cable.

Cool story bro.
Return spring removal was one of the best things I ever did to this car.

I would not mind a Boss 302 at the track, but for around town or canyon carving, still a boat.

Didn't really get to take it on any windies but the straight line power is really fun. I wonder how quickly that gets dull though.

In my 86 that same day I whipped it hard around this 15mph corner in second, I was feeling a bit pumped. Fairly solid drift with just vsc sport mode, correction was easy.

I'll have to take a look at the throttle controller, however I wonder if it makes the throttle more sensitive. In my pedal I feel like there is a small amount of dead travel and of course lag.

Fuck the nannies. Even with the 5-second push, I feel it interfering with my throttle inputs all the time. As soon as I do the brake dance it immediately feels like a normal throttle. Well, much closer to a normal throttle.
