Just wondering.. random speculation..
If it's intended as a drifter's dream, it should have an impressive turning radius, right?
Probably won't be any information on this, but it just crossed my mind the other day.

not necessarily turning radius, but i would hope it has a relatively quick rack.

I hope so, I was thinking about that also, its not really needed till your in advance level when you can really hold a long and fast drift but if your novice its hard enough just to hold a drift. the AE86 had a very cool solution for that, get a SR5 manual steering rack you'll have at least 20% more steering angle.

yeah like a Quaife steering rack 2 1/2 turn lock to lock, I never had a electrical power steering before hope its better than what im thinking. I mean is hope the steering feel or the steering feedback is better than a regular power steering.

Maybe he meant steering angle? I guess that ties sorta directly with turning radius, but I don't see how anyone could say steering angle isn't a big part of drifting. Watch what Ueo Katsuhiro can do in his AE86 with his buffed out as much as possible steering angle. BUT! Yes, it terms of stock form / straight enthusiast just for fun drifting, I'd much rather have a quicker lock-to-lock rack than a few more degrees of steering angle. As GZE said, the more angle isn't really necessary until you get into higher speed / deeper angle drifting.

I don't expect much from an electrical power steering setup. I mean, look at what electrical "LSD" did to the feel of those cars. Meh...gimme a mechanical pump, a throttle with an actual cable, and mechanical LSD, plzkthxbai.

I can't remember if its true or not, but I heard you could also use an AW11 rack to get the same effect. My local pull-a-part is out to deliberately kill AE86 chassis' as quickly as possible, so I haven't been able to snag the rack's off 2 Non-PS Sr-5's that came through there.

Seriously, the chassis' are on the lot for maybe a month at the longest and then BAM! Gone! They won't even sell the shells.

yeah I heard that also but people found out you can order a manual steering rack from online or autozone and at least its new boot & inner tie rod.

I have a feeling about that electric power steering
