Gorgeous. This will get me to move on from my first gen. Now to see how much of an extortion the dealers will tack on.

Not a fan of the darker flatter green assuming this is an accurate representation of the color. Only about 860 (I see what they did there) coming to the US as well.

'Lava orange' was one of my favourite colours from the 1st gen. I wish Toyota had kept it for second gen. There's enough shades of grey (white, silver, grey, black), having another actual colour is appealing.

That flat green is no match. Hakone wins hands down. Tcoat's is gorgeous.

I wished my car was Lava Orange. Sadly they discontinued that colour the same year they started to introduce the GT trims.....(which my car is)

From Toyota Canada:
“There will only be 860 units produced for the North American market for 2025, with 30 of the manual transmission models for the Canadian market.” https://media.toyota.ca/en/releases/...wist-on-a.html

I think the gen 2 looks much better in person than any pictures show. I do still prefer the curves of the gen 1, but it's not as dramatic to me irl.
I also agree that I think I liked the green of the first Hakone better, but I'm still very interested in seeing this with my own eyes. I wish they'd hurry up and announce pricing and whatnot. |

The colour used on the first gen Hakone was a rich metallic green. This new gen 2 version is a solid colour and in some light looks almost dull or matte like but I believe that the paint does have some gloss to it. First photo is Press Release for the 2025. Second photo is a snip from a Japanese Video.

Ditto. Photos or the real thing, doesn't matter. They've lost that special look.
