Talking E85 I/H/E FRS Vs S2000 Vs MR2 Turbo

I've been wondering whether or not my FR-S could beat a stock S2000 in a straight line, or a MR2 Turbo (since it was the fastest car I've ever owned and my favorite.)

I should be over 200wHp and 160 wTQ if not 5 or more.

My relevant power mods:

Stage 2 E85 OST Tune
Tomei EL Headers
HKS Spec-L Ti Cat Back
Injen CAI
and of course E85

(2750 lb + 165 lb) / 200whp = 14.58 lb/whp
(2800 lb + 165 lb) / 200whp = 14.83 lb/whp
(2900 lb + 165 lb) / 176whp = 17.41 lb/whp

Gonna be close between 200whp FR-S and stock S2k. And of course very driver-dependent...

Stock MR-2 turbo is not in the hunt, slower than stock FR-S/BRZ...

Interesting.. Thanks. I always thought MR2 Turbo were 2800LB. There needs to be some real drag strip or street videos of 200wHP N/A twins against a s2k. s2000 imo is a benchmark for lightweight N/A 2L or so sport cars.

i would think an e85 tuned with actually e85 in it, uel, etc, would eat an s2000 stock going some sort of distance. That 8000+ redline certainly makes for an easier racecar however, just not needing to shift and screaming is great stuff.

My n/a set up with a base map, e85, uel , full 2.5 exhaust kept up with my friends s2k until his vtak kicked in. I was on base map though so it was probably less than 200whp

If against an AT twin the MR2 will get away from the line and not look back. Puts power to the ground so much quicker with the low RPM launch the AT gets (as I recently discovered on a closed road in Mexico)

But yeah, that's your only shot in that race lol

My buddy's AP1 S2k with hfc, cbe & intake vs mine with oft e85, uel, 2.5" full exhaust, intake & etc. We ran 5th gear(closest 1:1 gear ratio of both cars) pull on empty highway from 2.5k rpm. My frs was slightly faster until the redline.

^the FRS has a much better aerodynamic figure than the S2000. Even a stock FRS should pull away from a (stock) S2000 above 100 mph.

s2k still wins due to gearing. This was against the audm 2L s2k though, not the US2.2L.

I beat a s2000 with my stock FRS, not sure if the s2000 just didn't know how to shift or what but it was alot of fun. I love the adrenaline when you're waiting for the light to go green!

If you're talking about beating an S2000 from a standstill, then yeah, that guy didn't know how to drive properly.
