They are actually a new vent. Different than the current BRZ. I prefer the old 86 badge on the fender, but I agree otherwise.

And this is where I feel an "in before the lock" is appropriate. Thank god I bought a 1st Gen.

The photos may be a rendering but the headlights look like crap. It would have looked much better with the 10 Series/Monogram style headlight but updated with switchback like LED's in the DRL bar.

That front bumper is just hideous. It screams now that your Toyota and your name isn't Supra you must be toned down.

Don't like the tails as they look like valenti's. The stocks really grew on me with the 1st gen even before I chose to change them up with the tail as reverse which made them even better.

About the only thing I like from the rear is the slight update to the diffuser section of the valence.

TCoat had it right with a picture of the blob fish. 5 HP and a pittance of torque does not make up for the "ugh" factor. 1st generation value should be going up hopefully.

And here is where things get subjective by taste.
To me:
Rear bumper doesn't match the round curves of the rest of the car. Those points in the corners by the edges of the trunk lid just don't fit/
I Know I will be a minority here but those tails are just way to busy for me. I like the simplicity of the round ones.
And the front. Oh god that front. Looks like a BRZ got too close to a fire and sagged a bit.
Will reserve opinion on wheels until I see the real thing.

Do lot like and probably would not buy.
Understandable,I wouldn't buy it either since i have a new car. If I was shopping for a new one this would not disappoint. I'm sure this will have a price increase closer to $30k I have no buyers remorse and look forward to seeing this. My mind could change too I'm human after all, but on the surface this update will draw more buyers which is a goal for Toyota and the 86 line.

Cant say that I am huge fan of the new refresh. I wonder what the new gear ratios will be for the slight power bump? My a new final drive? Sounds like it only applies to the MT.

"On the manual version of the car, additional performance comes from a gear ratio change and a torque increase to 156 lb.-ft, as well as a five-horsepower increase to 205 hp."

I'm glad I got my FR-S before it became the Toyota Cowabunga.

Not a pretty facelift. Also, why remove the "86" badge from a car the moment it becomes the "86" here?

Not a big fan of that revised front end, but I'm curious about how it will drive!

*shrug* I like the new tails, they don't look bad at all, but that's just my opinion. Wheels definitely look better, but that wasn't a hard task to accomplish...

Front bumper is so-so, if they skipped the "bars" or whatever you call them, that goes over the side "intakes" of the bumper, it'd look better. More like the stock BRZ bumper.

Those fender badges are so poorly photoshopped on there though

Now we're just waiting on the BRZ version, hopefully a tad bit less squid like in appearance.

That new refresh looks great! The front end looks more aggressive, wider opening will look sweet with an FMIC. The steering wheel audio controls are a win. The tails I could take or leave.... I like dark red tint, but do that to those and I'm sure they're good looking with the LEDs.

The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the mid fender badge. Hopefully it is just stuck on with tape and easily removed. Wheels, take it or leave it.

Good job Toyota!

The HP increase what is it actually from and why even bother? Substantial increase would have been great, but that is like.... who cares.

From what I understand it's from a "revised intake, and changes in valve timing". I agree though overall it looks alight, I wouldn't say better than the original, but better than I expected. The change in gearing I'm sure will be appreciated as well. As for the Nissan 350/370z like badges, I doubt they are simply taped on. There is probably at least going to be holes left to fill if removed.

I feel like the rear looks good but it looks out of place as coat mentioned, especially given the smooth sides of the car.
