Spyder Headlights! - Finally arrived. :)
We got these in late Wednesday and have been doing our best to try and get videos and install done on them. Yo got the photos done up this morning so those are below like always.
They are available in Chrome, or Black housing and you can either get them with the "Angel Eye" or with out. Pick your flavor. A couple things about these, they are heavier then the Winjets. Probably due to the extra components and maybe some better quality on the inside. Hard to say with out tearing one apart. The bottom row of LED's you see is the parking / blinker section and will require you to tap into the side markers somewhere to get that signal. If you get the halo version you will need to tap a source for those as well. Lets you choose when and how you want those light up which is cool. Everything else is ready to go, so you got a really short wiring job to get those to light up is all. Photos of them installed along with a video will be up after the weekend. For now here they are out of the box, and you can look at the wiring on the back. Any questions post them up. We can make sure we cover them in the install video. Are these H7 bulbs just like the Winjets? If you could show when the DRL light bar is on in the video, that would be great (i.e. are they just like the Winjets in that they turn off when low beams are on, but are on any other time (DRL/parking lights/high beams).
Also would be nice if you could point out any easy to tap wires for the halos depending on what when you want them on, that would be awesome too! |

They technically are from that all the "stock" functions work, DRL, Low Beam and High Beam. It's adding the turn signals into the head light and a halo, so you have to find power for those depending on how you want them to work.

For high beams, do you have to have a dual filament bulb in the projectors? Or how does the high beams work?

How do you get high/low beams out of a H11 bulb thats only 2 wires ?
The low beam would be the projector H11 , and I assume you would use the Halo for the DRL , but loose the high beam function . Do you offer a dual filliment [ 3 wire H4 ] in a H11 type for high/low in HID ? Last edited by Curt Aigner; 01-17-2014 at 04:53 PM. |

From ft86speedfactory.com website:
Spyder LED Headlights for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ has arrived. These units come with an H11 bulb installed and ready to go. This version has the Halo LED ring around the projector. These are a direct bolt in for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ. If you want the HID effect for your non-HID FRS you may order a diode dynamics HID kit through us which will fit in the housing. Stock BRZ HID bulbs will fit as well.
