Almost thinking of switching to black... but I like the challenge of making chrome "hot", especially since I already have black BRZ headlights... there's still time to decide, though. Maybe I need to see pics of BRZ with FRS headlights? Time to Google!

Hey Chris, were you planning on selling the D Spec tuning headlights too btw?

Just thought I'd let you know these are available in black only as "Crystal Eye" on Japanparts.com for the GT-86. Just noticed a moment ago. They even use the same stock photo for the Spyder car like you have. So I'm sure you should know more VERY soon. Here's a pic of them lit up.

I talked to a rep about the appearance of the headlights on other sites around the world a few weeks ago. These are being labeled as "Spyder", but Spyder has no involvement in those sales. They do not carry any warranty from the US company Spyder Auto.

To my knowledge most of these are RHD which will have a Z pattern like the LHD, but the light will be higher on the driver's side. This means oncoming vehicles will have more light shined on them vs the road to the right.

Good point! I figured there was something fishy going on, but just wanted to bring it up in case someone else decided to get huffy about it if they came across the same info.

Do you happen to know if the D-Spec headlights are going to be using the same H7 halogen projectors as the Spyder and Winjet headlights btw? How do this H7 projectors compare to the OEM H11 projectors anyway (beam pattern/glare/evenness)? Pretty similar, better, worse?

H7 is pretty common for aftermarket lights which combine high / low beam. I have to stay away from calling them bi xenon because they are halogen projectors. It wouldn't surprise me if they are the same exact projectors in these lights as well.

Spyder Camaro lights use them.

Winjet w/ HID

I think the outcome is better than the stock H11 halogen projectors that come in our vehicles, but not quite as good as the Morimoto retrofit kit.
