You could keep the FR-S for track days at least and just trailer it up and down the driveway, if not all the way to and from the track, with your SUV. Doesn't help with being able to use the car as a daily, but at least you still get to enjoy the track. This assumes that a trailer will fit in that garage, door looks a bit narrow but hard to tell from that angle.

used to park the bike in the sun porch around the back, put a moving blanket on it and a potted flower on top.

Motorcycles are dangerous as fuck. That goes 100 times over at the track. EMTs hate motorcycle track days.

Cars don't have to be garaged. Bikes probably should be.

But it sounds like, as @humfrz / @Tcoat / @Generic-old-white-man said, you already know what your decision is.
The bolded part is what hurts the most. Modifying a car's suspension and continually tweaking it is a big part of the hobby and what I enjoy. I have thought about going with slightly taller tires on a 18" wheel, like a 255/45 tire instead of the more common 255/35 series, and just dealing with the speedometer being off.

Can't see your photo, but I have a relatively steep transition from street to driveway, both have inclines, and don't have any issue with my stock height FRS. I would probably not be able to get it up the drive without being "really careful" and angled it if were lowered.
I uploaded the photos in case the embedded images don't work. I can see them, but with Photobucket, I'm not sure if others can see them embedded or not anymore. In any case, even at stock height and at an angle, it scrapes pretty bad. And the incline gets so steep that the rear diffuser drags on the asphalt roadway before it finally gets over the driveway, so it scrapes at both ends. I can get it up the driveway, it's a just a real pain and is damaging the front and rear exterior every time. It's cringe-worthy.

Happily married with kids. Hence the need for one of those garages to store the minivan, which coincidentally can only get up the driveway in reverse and no longer scrapes because the front chin spoiler finally quit and fell off.

I wonder if I could just cut the lower lip of the front bumper off the FR-S, and what that would look like... screw it, if I do that I should just lift it, run mud tires, and put on a pre-runner style metal guard in place of the bumper. Like a zombie apocalypse rally cross car.

Yea, that's pretty steep transition.

So do you need a minivan and an SUV? Seems like the SUV can do anything a minivan can do and more. You don't need to haul 2 families around at once, right? Get rid of the minivan, keep the bike and the FR-S. Then build yourself some wheel ramps like the Race Ramps XTenders so you can put those over that overly steep transition and get a more reasonable angle.

17s can run a larger tire just as easily. The problem is rubbing. I put oversized tires on our leased Spark EV. The car was barely drivable after leaving the tire place. Then I put on 1" front wheel spacers. That helped, but I still rubbed on bumps. Solved that with rubber spring boosters in the front. The car rides and steers better than new, actually, thanks to the extra rubber and wider track.

There is caveat, I went from a bike to a Caterham and it was as much fun if not more as your partner was sitting by your side and you don't fall off.... the Caterham feels as quick due to its closeness to the road and the exposed nature.

A great car the Caterham. I would consider another one if I had the space to keep it.

Given the underlined section, I advise keeping the car. I rode bikes for just shy of 50 years and managed to stay happily married and raise two kids. About a year before the youngest finished college an idiot in a Tahoe ran a light and I parked the bike in her left rear door. My injuries included a 2 shattered forearms, a pretty serious TBI, and a shattered humerus. The TBI was momentarily life threatening, but ended up being not as life altering as the orthopedic damage.

It's a funny thing. The probability of a wreck on the bike is not hugely high. I made it for a long time, even roadracing for several years. However, the cost of a screwup, particularly by a cage operator is immense. Once I recovered, I considered getting another bike. Then I saw a BRZ in a Costco display and fell in love. Over the last three years, it's turned out to be as close as I can get to a BMW RT1200, and it has doors, training wheels, air bags, A/C, and heat. For me, it touches (not terribly hard, mind you) the buttons my bikes used to tickle.

Every now and then I see a guy on a GS or an RT on the highway and the old urges begin to wake. Then, I look down at the dash and note that it's 105F outside, my arm or a wrist gives me a twinge and I love my BRZ all the more.

A former riding partner of mine went through the same thing a few years back. Assholes with cellphones in cages. Fuck 'em, right in the eye.

I fit both in the garage with the help of a rolling center lift stand. It's also handy for maintenance and spinning the bike around.

I would think if there's room in the garage for a car, there's room for a car and a bike...
