locals with turbo FRS/BRZs ?

whats up everyone?

I currently drive a 2005 M3. I wanna get rid of it because of the ridiculous maintenance.

My plan is so pick up and FRS and to make up for the power difference i want to turbo it to make similar power.

The one thing that will help me tip over the fence is if i could hopefully test drive someone BRZ/FRS that is already turbo'd or at least go for a ride. And i can do the same in my car, you can drive my car. or hold my walet or phone or keys. or whatever you want.

Not looking for a joy ride or to screw around. I just want to experience a turbo'd frs/brz before i commit to buying one.

The M3 is the best car ive owned. (coming from a corolla, na 240sx, boosted 240sx, a honda fit, and a 350Z.) the maintenance is just killing me and i'd love to get back into a car where i can start it drive it and not worry about the next time i have to drop $1000+ on repairs.

that being said. im in the 805 / ventura county and 818 / reseda area.
feel free to contact me at 805 558 3067.

Thanks everyone.

It should be faster than your E46 M3, OP.

And if you are not handy with the tools, I don't think a turbocharged BRZ is that easy to maintain.

In regards to going from E46 M3 to turbo FRS/BRZ you should ask @King Tut about his build. I've known him for a while and helped out getting his turbo kit, but I know he comes from where I started as well which was with BMW's. Here's a couple of his threads for reference:

Also, based on all the kits we've installed here and sold to the local area, there's quite a few Full Blown kits in the Southern California area. I don't have a shop car here with one installed, but I know there's quite a few that we've installed here that might be able to chime in and possibly take you for a ride

does rebuilding 2 engines, turbo charging one, and doing ALL the maintenance and upgrades count? haha i've been doing this for a while, im more than handy with tools.

M3 maintenance, like valve inspection and adjustment, vanos, subframe welding, rod bearings are things that i no longer want to deal with. im about $10k into maintenance alone in the M3 since purchasing it in march.
