Hi Guys
What do we all believe is the safe boost and pulley size for this kit on 91oct stock engine.
Thanks

Intercooled - 69mm-70mm has been holding up well for most.
Non-intercooled - I'd stay with 75mm

So I just received my non-IC kit and now i'm kinda regretting I didn't get the IC. Opinions on spending another $1k+ for the IC and a smaller pulley, especially since I haven't installed the kit yet?

Anyone have an idea on what gains I'll be looking at with the airraid intake and nameless OP/FP and axleback (on 93)?

(I've read through roughly 80% of this thread... there's a lot of info to digest and remember)

EDIT2: Just noticed that first post has numbers... whoops.

If you want to do it, go ahead and do it now - otherwise you will have to pull the manifold back off the car and you run the risk of heat cycling the heads on the bolts for the supercharger. (I had the non ic installed for 2 months before making the change, it was a pain).

I would also take the time while the sc manifold is off the car to source some higher quality m6 bolts for the plate and make sure the ports on the back are all tightened down.

As far as power goes, I have the 70mm now and it produces plenty. I've also had it out for extended spirited driving and no noticeable power loss once up to temp.

Dyno time scheduled for Friday afternoon. Planning on running my 70MM pulley on E85 and Delicious Tuning's 8.59 ROM (unless @DeliciousTuning has the 69MM pulleys in stock and doesn't mind overnighting me one. The 69mm tune would also have to be ready too.)

Either way, I should have some numbers and videos posted Friday night.

Engine mods:
  • Innovate Supercharger (Intercooled)
  • Raceseng 70mm Pulley (unless 69mm can be acquired in time)
  • Nameless Performance Header
  • Nameless Performance Overpipe/Downpipe combo (2.5")
  • Stock midpipe
  • Nameless Axleback (may run the stock axleback on the dyno)
  • Perrin 3" CAI
  • Moto-East Flex Fuel Kit (currently reading around 74-75% ethanol) from @moto-mike
  • @DeliciousTuning 8.59 Tune
  • Perrin Oil Cooler
  • Radium Dual Catch Cans
  • Stock injectors
  • Stock MAP and MAF sensors

Any guesses for peak #? I'm hoping to hit the mythical 300, but not terribly optimistic.

Please don't spend $1K+, you can get the IC kit new for $850 from a certain online retailer.

PM'd, I don't believe they're a sponsor anymore and don't want to get into trouble. Doesn't take that much Googling though to find it.

For good reason, most everyone i talked to who went with the fa20 ic kit has had some kind of problem with it.

My setup is almost identical and it hit 285. Only differences are you have an intake, and I'm running full 3" exhaust. You have flex fuel but I was running E85 at he time so unless yours will have any pump gas mixed, that shouldn't be an issue. Really look forward to your results with the smaller exhaust. I know Bill was saying he actually saw gains when switching back the the stock exhaust.

I'll be sure to post results and video (hoping for at least 3 different angles now that I picked up a GoPro Hero 3+ Black (it's going on a quad copter once that finally shows up). I'll also snag other angles with my Hero 2 and my Canon 70D.

Did a little work fitting a heat shield over the headers tonight, think i've got the rough shape of the shield sorted out, now i just need to work on a bracket to mount it. I can't decide if it would be better to mount off some bolts on the radiator support or to somehow mount it so it hangs down from the intake pipe itself.
