What is this part and is it important?

I was installing coilovers today on the rear for my 2017 Subaru BRZ. As I was tightening down the parts on the lower control arm, I snapped the piece pictured below. It was connected by a 10mm bolt on the LCA. This piece is only on one side of the car so I just took it off. It was held together with some electronic piece that I included a picture as well but didnt seem to have any electrical usage. Is this important and what should I do if it is important. Thank you!

It controls the aim of the headlights. Probably a good idea to replace it.

Actually it was this specific bolt circled in the picture that snapped. Not sure how I would go about replacing it. Just get this entire thing? https://subieautoparts.com/product/2...ory-oem-13-17/

You need something to control the aim?

That's the headlight leveling sensor. You definitely want that in place!
