Not going to happen. I’m not using CAD or machinery or anything special. Just basic tools, so there isn’t much to sell or intellectual property to license, but thanks for looking out.

Here is the finished placement. Yes, I plan to use the stock airbox with a K&N drop in filter. I like an OEM look. That may sound contrary to this entire thread, but I like minor, tasteful modifications/alterations. The stock airbox was good for enough power to break my previous motor, so it should be fine for what I am planning. I think these large cone filters exposed in the engine bay aren’t ideal or necessary. I also don’t think a giant airbox like what is on the Edelbrock kit is necessary. Maybe it is, but the turbo inlet is only 3”, so there is only so much size that could be utilized.

There may be clearance issues with the motor, so I may need to modify things. The IC pipes should clear/route fine.

I sent another courteous and concerned email to my fabricator at Black Market Fab. I was concerned something happened, and if so then I was going to have to contact my bank. Fortunately that spurred a quick reply, but sadly there was some family issues. I should be getting a tracking number by the end of the week. It is just two weeks later than I thought and going on over two months since my order. Ugh.

Still no word on the crash bar. Double ugh.

How's the durability on the wrinkle red? Will it take a falling screwdriver or a hose/wrench swiping across it?

I always wanted to disassemble one of my superchargers and do it in red, in the style of the OEM 17+ intake manifolds. Couldn't find anyone locally who would do a low-bake powdercoat for it and was recommended VHT.

They claim it is very durable and heat resistant up to $350. It takes quite a while to harden like 72+ hours, but it feels rock hard now. I feel like it will be more durable than a regular finish.

It isn’t a crumble type of finish like on Ferraris or textured like on the OEM manifold or like on my old Harrop supercharger. It is wrinkle like there was excess paint that pulled in on itself. Wrinkles like wrinkles. It won’t look show finish sharp, but from a distance it looks nice. The consistency of the finish will depend on technique and conditions. Overall, for my first attempt, I’m happy with the results.

Realtime racing uses an older NSX OEM airbox for there J-series race cars I think. So you should be just fine with a drop in air filter.

This thread makes me tingle all over.

From a fueling standpoint, what are your thoughts so far?

I'm also working on putting together this swap right now, and I'm thinking that a setup with the stock fuel container/hanger with an upgraded pump, a Hybrid Racing "Universal" fuel pressure regulator, and a K-Tuned fuel rail set up to be returnless. Seems to be the most straight-forward way to do it IMO.

Cheers!

I'm waiting for the kit to be released to see their setup. The stock fuel pump is adequate for plenty of power, so NA and FI builds don't need to upgrade past 400whp+, but I have a DW300c in there anyways. I plan to run a Haltech Flex Fuel sensor, but at this time, I don't know if KPower's harness will accommodate the sensor or how I will have to wire it in. I haven't done much research on fuel rails, but I feel like they should all be similar enough that I will be fine with the Kpower fuel rail. I have ID1050x injectors and K series adapters to plug into the stock harness. They mentioned their fuel rail will be available with the kit, and as this is suppose to be a plug-and-play aka comprehensive kit, the fueling should be supplied.

The stock FPR is in the fuel tank. I don't know that an aftermarket one is necessary. People have made over 500whp using the stock system with just injectors and a fuel pump, meaning they didn't change the FPR or switch to a return system. Seems like people start moving to surge tanks and dual pumps and larger lines or whatever on much more powerful and extensive builds than I am planning.

Keeping it simple: I think I will have the larger injectors, Kpower fuel rail, -6AN line and DW300C.

I purchased a Drift Armor crash bar on 5/28 direct from Drift Armor. At the time of purchase, there was no indication the item was backordered or delayed, so I assumed the regular build time was accurate. I reached out over a month later passed the build timeline, and I was told there was delays, and the bar would most likely ship at the end of July. I said ok. Three weeks later I followed up to see if we were on track, but I didn't get a reply. Then early in August I reached out with no reply on the first and fifth. I decided I should put in a dispute before putting in a claim. I finally got a reply that my emails went to a junk folder and that the batch would be 1-2 weeks out plus shipping. I was asked to cancel the dispute, but I said I couldn't because I have 20 days to file a claim, and if I cancel the dispute or the dispute expires then I can't file a claim. I said the 20 days is within the window of 1-2 weeks, so no worries, and I would cancel after I received a tracking number, or they could refund me, so they decided to refund me, fearing the timeline would possibly get pushed back further. Probably for the best.

Long story short, I need a crash bar after waiting two and a half months for a crash bar.

Silver lining. I am suppose to get my turbo manifold today. I'm just hoping it is the quality I expect because I was dealing with a similar situation of poor communication and progressive, "we will ship in a week" type of promises that didn't follow through.

I got the manifold and downpipe in, and it looks very nice. Fitment on the recirculation pipe and downpipe was as good as someone could expect like 98%. I mocked everything up, but I need to pull it off to clean it and everything before a final install, and I need to clock everything perfectly, so I can then order the AN lines. Overall, worth the wait and some headaches along the way.

I ordered a front crash bar from True Focus Fabrication. They said they will get it out by 8/20. I should have started with them.
