So I won't have to worry about the constant high torque delivery of the edel/harrop compared to the centrifugal?

Thanks for the insight
Much appreciated.

FWIW, I just read on multiple forums that JRSC is closer to the original character of the car.. otherwise, after all the reading I did, basically reached the same conclusion as Mike above... Also Harrop won't be available, unless someone sells you a used one... My 2 cents.

Just cracked my 2013 OEM header, currently on a C38 kit/CARB tune and having a really hard time finding a used 13-16 header locally.

I did find a 2017 header, but just want to confirm my thoughts with the community/those who know better than I - but is the 2017 header redesign distinct enough that I won't be able to run the CARB tune with it? I do track this car so my risk appetite is quite low - note we don't have emissions testing so that is not a concern for me. Also I'm planning a motor swap over the winter so don't want to put much into the setup before then.

I believe I also need to open up the flange holes a bit as the 17 doesn't line up with the 13-16.

Lastly, I'll state that the difference between 13-16 and 17+ was identified in a few threads on this forum, but I've also found that the part number on Toyota side seem to cover off all model years.. https://parts.toyota.com/p/Scion__FR...U00301134.html.

Edit: Maybe this will help someone in the future; 13-16 FRS header (manual/auto) is the same part number as 17+ 86 Automatic, I replaced mine with a used '19 and it is physically identical and mated to my oem exhaust system.

I’m not sure if this is common knowledge already, but apparently a large number of rotrex units were lost during shipping, so that has caused a lot of delays in shipping out JRSCs. Wish I had known that before putting down the money and not knowing when my kit will arrive...

I would like to have power No MORE than 300whp while keeping most things stock.
I'm currently running JDL UEL (ceramic coating) and catless resonated front pipe - basically straight pipe. I've been on ecutek flex tune [for about a year now]...so I do run e85 very now and then (more like E70 in my area doesn't really go above that at most)

I won't be doing much of any track or auto crossing (so basically 99% street driving)
Question is what kind of power would I be getting on 93 tune (with stock pulley)
and running between E60 - E70 with my current setup?

I've read you won't need to swap out Injectors or fuel pump when on pump gas.
I'm most likely going to upgrade injectors anyway based on my reading..but since I might be running ethanol on several occasion while trying to tamper the power @ or below 300, would I still need to upgrade fuel pump?

Thank you.
I'm running a JRSC C38 with high boost pulley, PTuning Flex Fuel, and ID 1050X injectors. I got the the bigger fuel pump option from CSG with a their fuel package but never installed it. Stock pump should be fine under 450WHP according to them and I have had no fueling issues so far.

True..But the main reason , as I was told, had to do with the e85 and how the duty cycle could stress the pump compared to regular gas due to needing more flow (something along that line)

I would shoot an email to Counterspace Garage or Delicious Tuning and see what they recommend.

Question, does running 100 oct help lower egt on the Carb tune? I am suspecting high egt is causing oem header to crack every 20ish track days. Currently on 6th header. Will going catless with corresponding tune help with the issue?

Ouch. This seems relatively common for these rotrex units, seems they are under very high stress. Is this an issue with the edelbrock kit at all?

Also, this wouldn't leave you stranded correct? Assuming the rest of the car would work to "limp" home?

Can't recall seeing an Edelbrock failure. I was set on the Jackson kit (the need to rev out the motor more seemed fun) but i got scared of the Rotrex failures.

As with anything, YMMV. Failures can occur, sure, but I've had the original Rotrex unit and belt for 6.5 years, not including the original owner of my kit having it for I think 1-1.5 years.

I've personally had great support from the vendor, and as of this morning, passed smog with zero issues despite California's new modified software law. Wish it was smooth sailing for other owners with CARB tunes, but that doesn't seem to have been the case. IMO, CARB tuned JR kit is worth every penny.

Felt compelled to mention, I was able to get all monitors to set besides the EVAP (don't need to so I tried but didn't bother too much) with a few hours of driving.

I even passed with the HBP on.
