Still not the right term no matter where it came from. It just isn't the right fitment.

Ah, young whippersnapper... my school is probably older than yours. I came of age lusting after the truly classic car designs of the 1950's and 1960's. Smooth, sensuous, curvaceous flowing shapes that were truly works of art and beauty on their own merits, without any added frippery like 'duck tails'. These designs predated the Porsche 'whale tails' by decades.

Check out these true beauties on wheels. Something like the Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale, or Jaguar XKE Coupe, would have its looks utterly destroyed by a duck tail. They don't need such nonsense. They're gorgeous without them. The BRZ is no Sprint Speciale, but it's still a very attractive car, and IMHO, much better without any spoiler, duck tail or wing.

To each his own. But I think the classics never go out of style.

It sounds much better than the outgoing model.... Won't be confused for a tractor anymore!

They don't go out of style, but we have learned a thing or three about chassis dynamics and aerodynamics since then. Those cars were about as stable as my mother in law and half as reliable. I'll take the driving experience of either gen of the Twins over those cars any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

really hard to make out how it sounds from the videos, but I bet they are gonna sound pretty much the same...not sure how .4 of a displacement difference would really modify the intake & exhaust noises much.
