This is what we're waiting for! That plus any more optimizations Bill might be able to pull out of the car.

I use the blocks with e85 daily. I think there was some bias against Crawford just as shiv was trolled by the ecutek guys.

I had been considering the blocks. I don't track the car and surrendering a few horses up top for more area under the curve is an attractive trade-off. But I have to admit, the price is pretty breathtaking considering what it buys. Then I ran across some knockoffs on Amazon. $75 shipped. $75 v $360. I am very reluctant to buy knock-off/copied products, but I have to say the 80% discount reinforces my skepticism about Crawford's pricing.
My conclusion? Buy neither and put the money toward a Flex-fuel kit and a tune. /[threadjack]

For those that would consider a cheap Chinese knock-off of the Crawford BPB, I would recommend against it for a number of reasons.
1. Crawford had the idea, made prototypes, spent a lot of time on the on the design and did all the production engineering. They deserve your business and to be supported so they can make more cool stuff. Buying cheap copies of their designs, makes it harder for them to stay in business and forces them to raise the price on everything else they sell. 2. The average person is blissfully unaware of the myriad of production engineering challenges that generate a functional durable and reliable product. Simple things like using wrong material in the O-ring so it shrinks over time and creates a leak/ is not solvent (fuel) resistant, or making the O-ring the wrong cross sectional diameter so it doesn't seal. Specifying the wrong finish on the mating surface, creating and sticking to a tolerance for the parallelness of the two mating surfaces, low quality hardware that stretches and loses torque. The list goes on and on. Even with such a seemingly simple product, there is more than meets the eye. Support the shops that do the homework to bring new tech to the platform. Good point. A friend of mine purchased a cheap Chinese oil cooler and the o-rings failed in that. Which he believes in turn led to a failed engine.

EDIT: I guess it could look more like a dip due to the heavy increase in torque at that mid range. |

Renderos Racing 4 pt roll bar
Got Blub back yesterday. Big Thanks to Alex. He's really busy these days and squeezed us in to get the bar designed, built and installed.
For info on the bar ( pricing, lead time, shipping, etc) hit him up directly https://renderosracing.com/ Weight is 44 lbs. We painted ours body color. I think he TIG welds everything. The stub on the main hoops is to both make it easier to install and ship. Ours allows the OMP HTE-R 400's to go all the way back on stock rails. We have been driving it with the stock 3pt belts and frankly, the car is a bit too fast to run without a roll bar and 6 pts. Beyond that, it's tiring to be flopping around. Really looking forward to being locked in to the seats and not being tossed around by the G forces. Sonny has to align it. APR is backordered on the wing mounts so not GT250 yet. We'll build the 5" 10mm alumalite splitter once teh wing gets here. Also eager to see what it'll do on the 18x10's and 255/35's. |

RE: Renderos roll bar
We chose a simple config for our car but he'll build whatever you want. For example, you could do an X brace in the main hoop instead of single diagonal. Or X brace in rear stays. Or rear lateral brace across rear stay mounting points. Camera mounts, harness tabs, etc. The harness bar on ours is the optimum angle for the seat we are using. If he ships you a bar, give him the measurement from floor to harness port so he can place the harness bar to get you the correct harness angle. If you drop off you car at his shop in Victorville, have the seat installed. I had him push the main hoop really far back to clear our seat when adjusted all the way back. If you're a much shorter driver and want the bar closer, let him know. |

Update on the Blubster
It's been a while since we ran it last. Busy with other development projects so it took us a while to get it ready for the track again with the new mods. 5" splitter of 10mm Alumalite replaces our ebay lip GT250 2D wing replaces the duck tail spoiler Singular Motorsports endplates 18x10 +35 XXR 527F (forged CNC) wheels to replace the Forgestars. We terminally bent all 4 Forgestars on the first day we ran them. Crawford BPB manifold spacers Delicious tune for the BPB 949 Racing Billet Camber Plates Whiteline rear camber bushings Renderos Racing 4 pt roll bar Safequip FIA 6 pt harnesses Element fire suppression stick Production style Xidas and our camber plates give us -5° front camber. We were stuck at around -3.5° before. Won't know until we get it on track but we think all the updates should make it about 1.5~2s faster. Going to be hot at CVR this weekend so we might not see its full potential. Fingers crossed it all works as I hope it will. Running at Chuckwalla this weekend. If you're there, come by and ask for a ride if you have been jabbed. Our crew is all jabbed now. |

Was there any particular reason for switching from the ACE header to the JDL header?
