snake oil, that seemed to work as claimed even at 3rd party tests.

I'm interested to see where this goes and if you will be able to extract any extra gains over the factory manifold. I would also consider it if it was in the same ballpark, price wise, as the 17+ red piece.
Good luck and thanks for sharing data from your testing methods. |

There were several companies designing manifolds when these cars came out. Crawford was one of them. They found gains through additional runner length hence the power blocks. It's going to be hard to beat subaru's modeling software on this one.

Back to the original topic, it seems the OP is trying to out-optimize the OEM. That's probably not going to happen as there isn't much left on the table. Instead, it might be better to define the difference in the problem parameters so that you are optimizing to a different target, like the Crawford BPBs. Alternatively, throw out all the OEM design decisions and start from scratch, modeling the physical effect you want then finding ways to make it happen. That's pretty damn expensive and risky though. |

I'd love lots more low end and mid range torque, even at the expense of top end power.

Yeah I'm talking about them again. Didn't want to keep mentioning a competitor over and over. Lol There is one other one which is probably better but GRMN only made 100 them for their $50k 86.
At the moment I think our best option is on your car in particular. Haha |
