I am not sure if hammering this place is enough. My hood is touching the intake tube even when the car is not moving. I think I will have to cut a hole, and paint he edges of hood reinforcement.

Meanwhile, I have posted some pictures with sc installed. Please check my build thread.

I will sell you mine at a Great Price! I just removed it last night. I am trading in the car. The SC already has the smaller pulley installed and About 15k on the kit. You will need a set of intake gaskets. Matt at Cosworth can help you order a set. PM me if you are interested Weederr!!

I had a panel shop indent mine so i have plenty of clearance. Mine was doing the same, now there is an indent roughly the sie of a tennis ball thats been cut in half and tons of clearance.

The install was quite simple. Matt was very helpfull with the software. Thanks. The most difficult part was to route the cooling tubes and removing the ait from the cooling system. One think i dont like is a dcratch on the hood made by the air intake tube. I will have to do something about it. Pics and movs soon.
I totally agree with you! hands didn't like that part. Running the kit for 3 hot days now (36 Celsius) and no issue so far. Is it me or I see more power at high rpm but low revs (below 4000), I don't feel that much of an increase? could be the weather too tho.

At low revs you should have some parasitic loss from the supercharger. I never understood why Cosworth didn't go from the beginning with a turbo. Spacing issues maybe?

It should be way more pokey at low rpms. At 2.5k it pulls very well even in 6th gear (manual)!

You do feel it start pulling a bit more at around 4k as peak torque is at 5.5-6k so it does build up to that a tad but it should be fairly flat. Cirtainly at 2.5k it pules quite well.

I find myself using alot of low revs when driving normally with the SC kit due to the low end torque. Its the main reason I chose the kit of the flatness of the torque curve vs a turbo or centrifugal SC.

Have a look at hte power graphs posted on the forums to see the flatness.

You always have parasitic loss even at high rpms!

Turbo has lag and slows down throttle response. Each to their own.

We all should remember that even a sc doesn't make our car a falcon heavy rocket. It is still a brz with two liter engine. I would never even think of superchargin my car if it had so much power out of the box. I didnt tell my wife that our car was supercharged but i think she has a suspicion that something is different now, especially when i overtake other cars.

She didnt't have to lose weight. In fact, she drive this car with me very rarely. She hates it.
