FINALLY got my new wheels and looking to put all season tires to use as a Spring, Summer & Fall set. Currently looking at Pilot Sport 4 & Pilot Sport AS3+... but wanted to hear some of you guys feedback.
I have AS3+. Do not like them much. Stock Prius tires are better the vast majority of the time. They do not stick much, and are not significantly better in rain than the stock tires. I'd go with PSS year round, and if you have snow, winter tires for then.

Huh that's interesting. I haven't heard bad review of AS3+, but def good feedback to hear. Yeah, I have snow tires for winter, so I'm not really worried.

Hahaha I see what you did there. While searching around more on 4AS vs A/S3+, Guff just told me base model C8 uses 4AS. Is that mean anything? Not really, just thought was interesting.

I put all-season tires (Goodyear Eagle Sport) on my 2013 FR-S soon after I got it (6-7 years ago). For the price and my use they work just fine.

Do I race with them on? Well yes! I race to take the girls to school, then race to the pharmacy, then race to the grocery store, then race back home then race to pick up the girls from school -

Seriously, they work good on the dry (hot or cold roads), fair on the wet and - be careful on the snow.

You had those tires for 6-7 yrs? Wow! It's lasting pretty long.

I'm not worried about winter, cuz I have set of winter tires.

Yep, over 7 years now. However, the car only has about 27,000 miles on it.

Yep, they are quite resistant to dry rot -

As3+ are great until the cold and snow hits. Given the price I'd forgo the all seasons and just go with a dedicated summer and winter sets. In the summer I prefer the PSS 4's that came on the tS over the As3+ I have on the 2013. It isn't a direct comparison as the 13 has 245/35 10's.

Don’t need to worry bout winter/snow, cuz i have winter/snow tires. Currently I have summer tires (GT Radial Champiro) & hot summer time, don’t have an issue... but Spring & Fall temp drop near 20’s by afternoon goes all the way up to 90’s. Or some days, I only see 30’s, but next day, goes all the way to 80’s. So summer tires work to certain extend... but not ideal. That’s why I’m looking at All Season tires for Spring & Fall set

Not too great in snow though. They will make the car go in it, but there are better all seasons for snow IMO.
i run the bfg gforce comp 2 a/s as well. i've been very happy with them. this set is almost about done, they've remained consistent in grip quality, with a slightly higher traction level than the stock tires, and almost none of the squealing of the stock tires.

i had no problems with them in the snow. i found them to be about 7/10's in terms of grip level compared to dedicated winter tires, which is everything i need most times anyways...

you need to teach me the trick to anti-dry-rotting tires!

Ah yeah the as3+ would be a better option than the 4s of your seeing below 40's. Just be mindful of a bit more tread wear.

Well, first off, you have to garage the car.

Second off, you have to live in a climate with high humidity.

Third off, you have to live where the sun doesn't shine more than three days a month.
