On occasion, I would simply let my car do the talking when my friends and I approach a turnpike.

On a more serious note, I've given up trying to reason with people like that anymore. The average consumer has been trained to shop with a one-dimension focus. For example, the only important thing in a car is its horsepower and 0-60 specs. Another good one is how a TV is automatically good if it has 1080p display and at least 60 Hz refresh rate.

This is hilarious. In the end it comes to a different strokes topic but I really feel like people don't get the purity in a low hp, light weight, RWD car.

To claim that the GTI weighs less is complete negligence. A quick google search says they weight at least 3113 lbs and has 200hp....just like a twin.

Here's what everybody's been saying about the 86.

Daily beater for average Joe - "The car is perfect, affordable good looking coupe with good MPG"

Weekend track & enthusiast Joe - "The car is perfect, well balanced, nimble but need 30 more HP and better tires. Time for some minor mods"

Hardcore Joe - "Only thing I like about this car is the chassis. Everything else has to go. I'm going FI, LSX or 2JZ swap!"

Others - "Hmm what so special about it? It's just another entry-level sports car"

I don't care for car opinions from people who more likely than not--
1. have never seen redline.
2. can't drive manual transmission.
3. take it to the dealer for all maintenance/repairs for the life of the car.
4. have never changed their own oil, air filter, battery, or a light bulb.
5. have NEVER opened their hood. Ask them to do it,, you'll be surprised how long it takes for them to find the hood release or hood latch.

I am sad to say that I met all of these before I bought my twin.

EDITED:
Actually I fit none since I won't take it there for the life of the car. YAY

On another note - gonna go stalk Koa on facebook now

How the TV industry is moving towards gimmicks instead of actually improving picture quality infuriates me to no end. The idiot consumers looking at buzz words like LED, 3D, Smart, etc.. are the worst. At least OLEDS are coming.

Well to get back on topic. I think the GTI is a great car and probably works better for 90% of people that want a sporty entry level car. The other 10% of people who value handling/fun over all else know how special this car is. I'm still concerned about when I eventually need to replace it. If there will be a newer model or if I need to pony up the money for a porsche.

So I just bought a TV on black friday sale. Tell me if I'm an idiot. yeah 1080p yeah 60hz yeah smart. for $500. Idk about you but the smart buzzword got me - I can stream things from my phone and compter quite easily. But I guess it can be had for $25 Chromecast...

Gawd, That kid better work at McDonalds with that spelling and punctuation..

Not to be an ass but your punctuation could use some work as well.
