There are other vaccines going through approval as well—many. Some of them uses inactivated or weakened viruses and others use viruses from other animals that would not normally cause illness. Regardless, these viruses deliver the spike protein, have the spike protein or code for the spike protein to cause an immune response. Several are much more stable at manageable temperatures.
Polls are crap, I just like to see the percentage drop when sh!t starts hitting the fan. So when will you become one of the guinea pigs? I believe you are in one the priority categories if I'm not mistaken. We'll need a full review stickied.

But what about the tracker device they are going to inject with it?

My concern with the vaccine from Pfizer is the storage. If it isn’t stored and handled properly then it might not be effective. It only lasts five days at freezer temperatures. I’m less concerned from a safety perspective. If I do have the opportunity to take it in December then I will with the understanding that I may take other vaccines too when they come.

Broaching other conspiracy theories. Thanks again Tcoat.

They are already tracking me through my iPhone, but not through my body:

You might as well create a vaccine blog regarding each of the cocktails you will be receiving... "This one has a flat rubbing alcohol scent with hints of latex."

I just want to know why there has been such an increase in stupidity in the last 10 years, and more so in the last 4-5. I know social media like Facebook and Twitter are a huge part but holy shit, the things I hear that people absolutely BELIEVE gives me an aneurism.

You'll know it was effective if you feel a little sick for a couple days. People have even reported mild fevers. I'm ok with that as an indicator. My wife is a pharm tech so she's up the list closer to you.

And yes, I know you already know.

It is a combination of things:
  • Social media has a place for the special people to gather and share their ideas. The isolated and small group feels bigger and looks larger online, which gives them more conviction in their beliefs.
  • These crazy ideas then get spread and proliferate because their proponents proselytize and make videos to reinforce their beliefs. It isn’t enough that they believe; they need to educate the masses.
  • Many people lack the ability to decipher these videos. They don’t understand logic, sound reasoning or logic fallacies. Many people hear two people talking about a subject outside of their expertise passionately and couldn’t determine who is crazy and who is educated, so these beliefs propagate.
  • People don’t research. They are more apt to simply believe grandma’s wacky chain emails than fact check their family or friends. The internet is full of information and answers, but most people operate in a closed echo chamber.

There are 330 million people in the US. Probably about 329 million of them have a similar pattern as yours. I have never figured out exactly what value the government would get out of such tracking. Hell, the costs of tracking all those people would outweigh any conceivable benefit.

This stupidity has existed since the beginning of time and I doubt it is any worse now than it was ever. It just seems worse since it is now concentrated in a couple of places.

More so people don’t know what research is. Reading things to reaffirm your belief isn’t research. Research is to challenge your ideas to make sure they’re not false.

Not to mention you don't have to be chipped to be tracked any longer. Those same 329M folks never put their cell phone down. If someone wants to find where your were, they can.

What our CMIO here is telling us at this point is we will likely get enough vaccine to cover first line workers immediately and that's about it. Even with that, since it is an emergency approval product, you can't be required to take it.

I told her the first person that turns it down, let me know. I'll jump in line in their place.
