Are those numbers right?!! Holy hell-monkeys...

I guess my biggest question is, how reliable are the $2.50 ones? I mean, will I be constantly getting false-positives lighting up on my dash? (Not so much concerned with them not working quite as well the other way, because I actually check my tire pressure regularly.)

The 1st link is the actual sensors

the 2nd one is just a valve kit.

Someone needs to cash in by producing a "pipe bomb" for the sensors so I can throw my money at them instead of going to home depot and making my own

Ah. I feel like an idiot now! LOL... In my defense, don't have a whole lot of experience with these things; every car I've changed wheels on before hasn't had them on there.

Assuming it doesn't affect the ability to disable tc/vsc I won't run tpms in my other set(s) of wheels

I can ignore the light.

remove top of dash, remove cluster, remove TPMS bulb, re-install cluster, re-install top of dash. Hmm, seems cheaper then 92 bucks a corner and would probably take less time then having the sensors installed.

That won't work because the Subaru TPMS works off of movement. They don't start up until they are in motion, and since they won't really be moving in your truck, it won't work.

Black tape is even quicker :P

However, both of those solutions only work IF the car doesn't prevent you from disabling TC/VSC. Older cars didn't give a crap, but some newer ones force TC/VSC on if the TPMS system is malfunctioning or if a tire is low.
