03/23 Reviews --> No understeer complaints...

After browsing through the new reviews, I didn't really notice writers complaining about understeer. Do you guys think that the understeer mentioned in some of the earlier reviews from late last year have been corrected in the final production version of this car?

I'm fairly certain there was a notice of initial understeer somewhere. Can't remember in which one.

MotorTrend review says it has initial understeer that transitions gently and predictably to controllable oversteer.

wall street journal test drive actually distinctly discusses how the BRZ's oversteer is the major reason to buy the car.

I was just wondering if any changes were made such that the handling is now closer to the FR-S.

No changes to suspension from what I have heard. Same setup on BRZ as before unless they did something that we don't know about yet.

I hear you though. It feels like back during the wave of first drives understeer was a relatively up front topic.

BRZ is an inch lower and 55:45 compared with the FR-S

I know it is setup different than the FRS. But setup hasn't changed since the pre-production reviews we got a few months back.

No it is not, they just pick a different spot to count as the ''top'' of the car.

After reading this article ... I know this car is for me ...
I like to FEEL like I am going fast without actually going FAST..
My current car gives me ALOT of TQ at city speeds ...
but now I want to feel the same but at HWY speeds to at least get me
to 65mph faster while merging into the HWY.

Could be that understeer is more apparent when pushing really hard on the track, and that was the location for the initial review drives - now testers are driving them on public roads where it isn't a significant factor.

What car doesn't have a little understeer dialed in form the factory? Apparently only the FR-S?

Bingo!

I've seen a video on track of the BRZ understeering off a track.
