Looks promising in terms of pressure, unlike the previous gen where it lost significant pressure with heat.

Except in the data provided here, there is no significant heat. Though it looks good, this more or less matches gen1's data so far at low oil temps.

He did say the dash read 10-15 higher meaning it would have indicated about 245-250 on the dash? That is already pretty high. Most guys that track their gen1 were seeing about 270 without oil cooler.

Max temp was 205° in the sump and it kept getting cooler after each pull. The opposite of what is typical, but it was a cooler day and we do have 30hp worth of wind tunnel blowers.

I'll likely plug in the oil temp/pressure during another test this summer when it's hot and humid. That that doesn't bring higher temps, I'd cut out a few of the blowers.

I think you're looking at the pressure lines. The temp lines are pinkish. So 205° is going to read ~220° on the dash.

My bad, thanks for correcting me.

I was very surprised. Especially where comparing to the modded and tuned previous gen. Our dyno reads low, even compared to other Mustangs, so my assumption going in was ~180 peak HP. Pleasantly surprised.

I should also note this car does have our dual AOS setup installed, but that should not be contributing to power in any appreciable amount, especially at 1,400 miles on the clock.

245-250 is not high. Hell the oil temp thermostat on my 135i didn't even open until 240 and that was from the factory.

Modern vehicles with synthetic don't go into "limp mode" until the oil hits north of 300.

That motor was designed to run at 250 degrees nominally, not 200 like this one. Clearances and tolerances would be adjusted accordingly.

How do you know the FA24 (or the FA20 before it) was designed to run at 200?

Why do we care more about oil temp in the sump, vs inside the motor where it's actually working?

Where did you come up with this?

All modern engines are designed to run much hotter than engines from years past. They are more efficient and produce less emissions.

The SOP for track applications is to always know the temp of the oil going into the engine.

Ok, but why? Or is it a matter of, "This is how it's always been done" dogma?
